June Jordan Carris, 56, of 7 Burton St., Ripley, N.Y., passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, Pa.
She was born Aug. 3, 1956, in Westfield, N.Y., the daughter of Gordon P. and Annabelle Caron Carris.
June raised four beautiful strong children, Corey, Casey, Nicole and Raymond, who became and blossomed into four strong adults with families of their own. June raised her children off the core values given to her by her father and mother. She loved to spend time with her family. She loved sewing, shopping and spending time with her 11 grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

In her younger years, she loved farming and horseback riding with her siblings and family. She also loved baking for her family especially for her father Gordon P. Carris, Sr. She shared her love through her cooking, baking and other creative things she did.
In her late years, June enjoyed playing bingo with her mother, the late Annabelle M. Carris. June also enjoyed sitting outside watching the humming birds and just enjoying life. She enjoyed every aspect of life, no matter if you were family or not. She always gave people a helping hand. June was the light in a lot of people's lives. June passed away unexpectedly and will be sadly missed by all different people in different walks of life.
She is survived by her father, Gordon P. Carris of Ripley, N.Y.; her children, Corey P. (Heidi) Caron, Sr., of Ripley, Casey P. (Jamie) Caron of Brocton, N.Y., Nicole (Michael) Steeples of Jamestown, N.Y., and Raymond Gates of North East, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; her brother, Gordon P. (Melissa) Carris of Sherman, N.Y.; and two sisters, Sonia McGuay of Falconer, N.Y., and Denise Carris of Falconer, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Annabelle M. Carris who died Aug. 3, 2012; her son, Norman P. Caron; and her paternal grandparents, Gerald and Arlouin Carris.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 20 at 11 a.m., at the First Baptist Church, Sherman, N.Y., with Rev. Paul Sears, officiating. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service at church.
