Westfield is one step closer to seeing Nowinski Pierogies open for business.
The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency met Tuesday, Feb. 19 for its board of directors meeting. It reviewed several resolutions during the meeting and held a deviation hearing regarding the pierogi business.
The deviation hearing was held because the CCIDA is going outside of its standard uniform tax exempt policy for RAE Enterprise, which will operate Nowinski Pierogies. The CCIDA's standard uniform tax exempt policy has already been adopted and has been reviewed by the municipalities in Chautauqua County. Because it is offering RAE Enterprise a payment in lieu of tax agreement and other benefits outside its normal realm, the hearing was necessary.
