FINDLEY LAKE - Dust off that old Arctic Cat, Polaris or Sno Jet and get it running for the annual Snowmobile Poker Run and Show.
Don't want to ride or, not enough snow to ride? Bring it to the show for prizes and awards.
Pink Panthers of Findley Lake, N.Y., in cooperation with the Lake Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring its annual Snowmobile Poker Run and Show on Saturday, Feb. 23. The registration and show are from 11 a.m. to noon at Junction, 9757 Bailey Hill Rd., Findley Lake. Stops include Pine Junction, French Creek Tavern, Jimmy Z's and the Blue Heron Inn. Hands will be called at 5 p.m. at Pine Junction.
Enjoy the wonderful trail system the Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile Club maintains in and around the greater Findley Lake area. The event qualifies for a special event permit, and registrants will not need New York State registration. The one-day event has been given a special event pass. This means participants can trailer to Pine Junction, drop off and, weather permitting, ride the roughly 15 miles of CLSC designated trails for a $10 donation.
Rules and regulations will apply and be supplied during registration. Riders must carry insurance.
Proceeds will be donated to Pink Ribbon Riders, which provides financial assistance to both men and women diagnosed with breast cancer. PRR hosts snowmobile and many other events as fundraisers.
The Pink Ribbon Riders is a small volunteer based organization. To date, it has helped over 600 people diagnosed with breast cancer.
