Marian G. (Ostrander) Campagna, "Grandma Ripley," age 93, of Portland, N.Y., formerly of Ross St., Ripley, N.Y., died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at St. Vincent Health Center of Erie, Pa.
Marian was born on June 17, 1919, in Ripley, N.Y., the daughter of the late Ernest and Esther (Current) Ostrander.
A long time Ripley resident, "Grandma Ripley," as she was known, was a member of the Ripley United Methodist Church and had been the cafeteria manager for Ripley Central School for 25 years. She had been active in Girl Scouting for over 60 years and was a Girl Scout Alumni and a member of the Ripley Firemen's Auxiliary. Marian had been the coordinator of the Ripley Community Food Pantry and was honored as the Community Citizen of the Year in 2002 by the Town of Ripley. She loved being around her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Marty (Leo) Franze of Brocton, N.Y.; her son, Robert (Pat) Campagna of Grants Pass, Ore.; her grandchildren, Carolyn M. (Gary) Magnuson of Brocton, N.Y., Brenda Gerould of Portland, Rebecca (Brion) Bovee of North East, Pa., Nadine Campagna, Mark Campagna and Rob Campagna all of California; her nine great-grandchildren; and her eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, V. James Campagna, whom she married on Sept. 10, 1936, and who died on Nov. 8, 1989.
No calling hours were observed. Family and friends were invited to attend the memorial service at 11 a.m., on Friday, Jan. 25 at the Ripley United Methodist Church, W. Main St., Ripley, N.Y. Burial will be private.
