Elizabeth I. Soto

RIPLEY?- Elizabeth I. Soto, of Ripley, died Jan. 8, 2013, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Erie, Pa., following a short illness. Her loving family was at her bedside as she passed into the Lord's hands.

She was born on April 14, 1943, in Oil City, Pa., to the late William and Hazel Brown.

On Nov. 7, 1962, she married Regalado Soto in North East, Pa. They celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2012.

She was employed as a house cleaner until her retirement.

During her lifetime, Elizabeth was a member of the Ripley Baptist Church.

She is survived by five children: Tina Blystone, William (Tammy) of Ripley, Michael (Hope) Soto of Westfield, Carmen Wettekin of North East, Pa., and Rick Soto of Fairview, Pa, She is also survived by six siblings: Alena, Pete and Gene Brown of Titusville, Pa., Christopher Brown of Waterford, Pa., Walter Brown of Westfield and Judy Houser of Dayton, Pa., nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Regalado Soto Jr. and a brother Joseph Brown of Titusville.

A memorial service was held at the Ripley Baptist Church on Jan. 12, with the Rev. Donald Eggleston officiating. Interment will be in the Quincy Cemetery at the family's convenience.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mathews Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St., Ripley.
