January 2, 2013
Westfield Republican / Mayville Sentinel News

RIPLEY - Santa's sleigh had a minor malfunction and had to put down in Ripley. But don't worry, it was back in working order in time for Christmas.

Boys and girls of all ages were really surprised on Tuesday, Dec. 18 when Santa stopped in to Ripley Central School to get out of the rain while waiting for repairs. Santa visited in several classrooms and roamed the halls looking for good children of all ages.

Students made good use of Santa's down time, proclaiming goodness all year and explaining the one instance that could have been interpreted as a little bit naughty. Poor Santa's day didn't get off to a good start, but one he chatted with all the good boys and girls at RCS and got a quick bite to eat in the school cafeteria, his bad day turned into a super day, all thanks to high character of RCS students.
