An Angel’s Tale

December 26, 2012
By Tom Baideme - December 2012 , Westfield Republican / Mayville Sentinel News

Oh my Lord, I'm here to serve

You gave me more than I deserve

Send me anywhere you need

To do for you what ever deed

Yes I know of Bethlehem

And aware about your lamb

Growing in some virgin womb

To bring your light among the gloom

Of course I'll go this Holy Eve

To tell to those that will believe

To do and see what I'll proclaim

Is born in a silent manger came

Alleluia! Wake from sleep

Be not afraid for your or sheep

I'm here for you and all to heed

About the virgin and her seed

Tonight you all must go and see

About the Son of God to be

Born tonight below the star

That shines down from here not far

There is Bethlehem will find

Not in an inn but in behind

To only comfort they were able

To find this night was in a stable

Go see the Son of God anew

Born among the ram and ewe

Find the babe in wrap of swaddle

Arise and go with the flock, don't dawdle

Go and proclaim to all you meet

That the Son of God is at your feet

Repeat this angel's proclamations

Today is born the King of Nations

There inside in reverence pray

That a Savoir is born today

That being said go out and tell

About the birth of Emmanuel
