Local Girls Scout troop makes cards for troops

December 19, 2012
Westfield Republican / Mayville Sentinel News

WESTFIELD - The fourth grade Girl Scout Troop No. 20100 of Westfield made Christmas cards for troops who aren't able to spend the Holidays at home with their families and friends.

Each scout made two to three cards thanking the troops for serving the country and sending them warm thoughts for the holidays. The girls learned Christmas isn't just about receiving gifts, but it's also about giving and thinking of others.

The Girl Scout troop meets a few Wednesdays a month at the Methodist Church on Main St., in Westfield. Anyone who would like more information about the fourth grade troop may contact Jennifer Chimera at 581-1323 or Ruth Dougan at 365-9343.
