Free family sing

Growing with Music Together by Kay Barlow is holding free family sing on Thursday, Dec. 13 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event will consist of holiday music and stories for families with young children and will be held at the Patterson Library, 40 S. Portage St., Westfield. Call 673-9020 or 326-2134 for more information.

Westfield Senior Citizens

The Westfield Senior Citizens meet on the second Thursday of the month at the YWCA Westfield at noon.

Hanging Of The Greens

The YWCA?of Westfield will host the annual Christmas open house and hanging of the greens decoration party from 4 to 5 p.m. Reservations are not required. Light refreshments will be served.

Holiday sing along for kids at Patterson Library

Come one and all on Thursday, Dec. 13 for a special holiday story time and sing along for kids in kindergarten and under at Patterson Library starting at 6:15 p.m. Grab some hot cocoa and gather around the piano in the Reading Room. Amy Stephenson will read stories to get participants in the Christmas mood, then Kay Barlow will lead a special sing along. The event is free.

Parkinson's support group at Absolut Care

The Absolut Care of Westfield's Parkinson's Disease Support Group Meeting is held the second Thursday of the month in the Absolut Care Activity Room from 4 to 5 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 15

Cookie Walk

The Dewittville-Hartfield United Methodist Church hosts its annual Cookie Walk on Saturday, Dec. 15 from 9 a.m. to noon or until sold out. Walk the cookie table and choose favorites for a holiday table or a tasty gift. Cookies are $4 per dozen or six dozen for $23. The church is located on Route 430 at Meadows Rd., in Dewittville.

Second annual GrinchFest at Patterson Library

The Grinch returns to Patterson Library on Saturday, Dec. 15 from 1 to 4 p.m., for GrinchFest 2012. There will be raffle prizes, crafts and cookie decorating for children of all ages. Taste GrinchCrispy Treats and Who Punch. Decorate Who ornaments. The classic "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" movie, rated G, will be shown at 1 p.m., and Dr. Suess' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," rated PG, with Jim Carrey will be shown at 2 p.m. The Grinch himself will even make an appearance. The event is free, but please call 326-2154 to register or for more information.

Sunday, Dec. 23

Christmas concert in Brocton

Lake Erie Baptist Church, 9500 Lake Ave., Brocton will hold a Christmas concert with a variety of music on Sunday, Dec. 23 at 7 p.m. The public is invited to this free event, and there will be refreshments afterwards.

Parkinson's support group at WMH

Westfield Memorial Hospital's Parkinson's Disease Support Group Meeting is held the first Thursday of every month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Mayville Senior Citizens

The Mayville Senior Citizens Club meet on the first and third Thursdays of the month at the Mayville VFW at noon. All area seniors 55 or older are welcome. Bring a dish to pass and personal table service.
