MAYVILLE - Mid-County Habitat for Humanity cordially invites the public to attend the dedication of its second home scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 9 in Mayville.
The Rev. James Bailey of the Park United Methodist Church in Sinclairville will offer the blessing for the home and its first residents - Michael Webb and his children: Nicolas, 7; Haedyn, 5; Taryn, 8; and Maddison, 13.
The home is located at 64 W. Chautauqua Street, or Route 430 West. Visitors should wear sturdy shoes because the entry path is steep.
"The dedication of a Habitat home marks the end of hours and hours of giving on the part of our volunteers to help a deserving family realize the dream of owning their own home," Project Coordinator and Master of Ceremonies for the event Mike Ricketts of Mayville said. "It is a time to celebrate and a time to say thank you for all the love and the talents that have gone into this home. Please join us on this very special day."
