WESTFIELD - The Octagon Gallery at Patterson Library will exhibit "Westfield Art Teachers Past and Present" featuring the work of Alan Koch, Joseph Koshute, Edward Reed, Geri Beers, Inta Damcott and Doug Kaltenbach from Friday, Nov. 30 to Friday, Dec. 28.
This exhibit will share works of art by teachers of the Westfield Academy and Central School, from 1950 to 2012. The exhibit includes three current instructors and three past instructors.
"We are so pleased to present the exhibition of these treasured teachers who have inspired generations of artistic talent and art appreciation," Gallery Curator Nancy Ensign said. "Now more than ever, it is important that we support the arts in our schools. Please come and show your support for these great instructors of our past and present youth."
“Birch Trees” by Westfield Academy and Central School teacher Doug Kaltenbach will be part of the exhibit “Westfield Art Teachers Past and Present” at The Octagon Gallery in Westfield from Friday, Nov. 30 to Friday, Dec. 28.
Patterson Library's Octagon Gallery program is funded in part by the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Re-grant Program administered by the Cattaraugus County Arts Council. The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular library hours.
