WESTFIELD - Michael S. Sexton, 36, of E. Second St., Erie, Pa., was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to comply, unreasonable speed and second-degree obstructing government administration on Friday, Nov. 30.
According to the police office, officers were dispatched to assist the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department with an alleged domestic incident on Route 20 in the Town of Westfield involving Sexton and a female around 1:45 a.m. While responding to the scene, officers allegedly observed Sexton's vehicle on E. Main St., in the Village of Westfield. When officers tried to stop Sexton's vehicle, Sexton allegedly failed to comply and proceeded to flee from the officers who then pursued Sexton. Sexton then allegedly fled officers on Villa Dr., until his vehicle stopped in a muddy area approximately 300 yards past the end of Villa Dr. Upon stopping, Sexton allegedly exited his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot into a wooded area. After a brief search, officers were able to apprehend the defendant without incident. During apprehension, officers could allegedly smell intoxicants of an alcoholic beverage on the defendants' breath. Officers allegedly had Sexton perform standardized field sobriety tests, which he allegedly failed. Sexton was arrested, arraigned in Westfield Village Court and remanded to jail.
WESTFIELD - Ronald M. Durbin, 53, of 30 Clark St., Westfield, was charged with disorderly conduct on Sunday, Dec. 2.
According to the police office, Durbin was allegedly observed by the police urinating against a tree on Clinton St., around 2:15 a.m. Durbin was issued an appearance ticket for disorderly conduct and will appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date.
WESTFIELD - A Westfield male youth was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest on Monday, Dec. 3.
According to the police office, an officer was investigating an incident where a subject was allegedly blocking traffic on E. Main St., around 3:45 p.m. During the course of the investigation, the male allegedly became verbally disorderly and started walking away during the investigation. After the subject was advised he was under arrest, the subject allegedly struggled with the officer attempting to prevent his arrest. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Westfield Police Department where the subject was identified as a juvenile. The juvenile was turned over to a parent and will have to appear in family court on a later date.
WESTFIELD - Gage G. Foster, 22, of Cottage St., Westfield was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and inadequate head lights on Tuesday, Dec. 4.
According to the police office, a vehicle on Cottage St., in the Village of Westfield was stopped for an alleged equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle was allegedly identified as Foster, and upon further investigation, Foster was allegedly found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Foster was issued an appearance ticket and a uniform traffic ticket. Foster will appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date to answer the charges.
