William A. "Bill" Keith, 58, of Clymer, N.Y., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, doing what he loved.
He was born April 12, 1954, in Westfield, N.Y., the son of the late Arthur R. and Maxine Burgess Keith.
Bill was a self-employed logger most of his life and worked over the years for several logging firms in the area. He was currently employed by Mick Brothers Sawmill in Elgin, Pa. In his earlier years he worked for Legters Brothers in Clymer. Bill loved bowling, his 25-acres and his dogs, and he was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.
Bill is survived by his children, William A. Barton of Clymer, N.Y., and Billie Jo (Matthew) Davis of Clymer, N.Y., Mariah (Christopher) Fitzgerald of Jamestown, N.Y., Dorothy M. Swan of Ripley, N.Y., Patricia Washburn of Ripley, N.Y., and Ray (Mary Lou) Keith of Clymer, N.Y; several nieces and nephews; and by his best friend, Bug.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his companion, Polly Fitzgerald, who died on Oct. 4, 2012.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 3 at the Spitzer Funeral Home, Clymer, N.Y., with the Rev. John Rough, officiating. Burial was in Quincy Cemetery. Friends were received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 2 at the funeral home.
