Ripley Community and Heritage Fund seeks applications

RIPLEY - The Ripley Community & Heritage Fund is currently accepting grant applications. Organizations eligible to apply are charitable, not-for-profit organizations that serve the Ripley community.

Grant applications and guidelines are available by contacting one of the following RCHF board members: Lew Barnes, chair, 736-6931; Terry Eggleston, co-chair, 736-6125; and Mary Beth Chess, secretary, 736-6049.

Applications are also available at various locations throughout Ripley (including Meeder's Restaurant and the Ripley Library) and at The application must be forwarded to the RCHF, c/o Lew Barnes 9764 E. Lake Road. Ripley, 14775 and be postmarked by Jan. 15.

The RCHF was formed in 2000 with a mission to enrich the lives of Ripley residents. To help the community, the RCHF administers a grant program specifically for volunteer organizations providing worthwhile services within the Ripley community.

The grants have been made available through the Ripley Community & Heritage Fund Endowment created at the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation by more than 140 community businesses, citizens and organizations.

To date the RCHF has distributed more than $23,000 to local organizations.

Additional committee members include Dave Bower, Richard Eimers, Richard Wade and Pete Ryan.

The RCHF is a community donor advised fund of the NCCF.

The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation was incorporated in 1986 as a tax-exempt charitable organization. Since its establishment, the NCCF has distributed over $8.3 million into the community through its various grants programs.

It is an organization inherently committed to furthering its mission of enriching the northern Chautauqua community and encouraging local philanthropy.
