Brocton continues arch restoration

December 5, 2012

BROCTON - The four corners in Brocton look different from normal with the historical arches gone. At the regular village board meeting, an update was provided on the arch progress.

Village Clerk Karen Ardillo gave the update that the arches are currently at Buffalo Iron for restoration. Mayor Dave Hazelton and Joe Magkowski, village electrical lineman, went to check on the arches.

The paint has not been removed from the arches, which is a bit later than originally had been planned for. The reason for waiting, according to Ardillo, is fear of rust once the paint is removed prior to the application of another coat of paint.
