Mary Elizabeth Burkey died Thursday evening, Nov. 8, 2012, at Hamot Medical Center, Erie, Pa., after a short illness.
Born June 27, 1947 in Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Harold Kennedy. She worked for Better Best Foods of Northeast, Pa., as a baker for the past 30 years.
She is survived by her husband, Olen L. Burkey of Ripley; one daughter, Renee Homehill of Buffalo; and two sons, Steven and Robert Van Knapp, both of Buffalo.
Funeral services will be private by the wishes of the family. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Buffalo, N.Y.
