WESTFIELD - Gerald S. Johnson, 40, of Chestnut St., Westfield was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on bail on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation on Wednesday, Oct. 10.
According to the police office, police investigated an alleged domestic incident on Chestnut St., around 9:30 p.m. During the investigation, it was allegedly found Johnson had been involved in a physical altercation with a 17-year-old male and struck and choked the male. Johnson was arrested, charged, arraigned in Westfield Village Court and is due back on a later date.
WESTFIELD - Joshua M. Winslow, 26, of E. Main St., Westfield was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon on Friday, Oct. 12.
According to the police office, it responded to a suspicious person complaint on Spring St., in the Village of Westfield around 11:15 p.m. According to a witness, the subjects were allegedly observed parking at an apartment complex and were wandering through back yards in the area. Officers located the subjects in question. Subsequent to the investigation, Winslow was allegedly found to be in possession of brass/metal knuckles. Winslow was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in court on a later date.
WESTFIELD - Jonathan Malave, 31, of N. Goodman St., Rochester was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and speed in zone on Saturday, Oct. 13.
According to the police office, an officer on patrol on N. Portage St., in the Village of Westfield allegedly observed a northbound vehicle at a high rate of speed around 4:30 p.m. The officer allegedly identified the operator as Malave. Upon further investigation, it was allegedly discovered Malave's privileges to operate a motor vehicle in New York State were suspended. Malave was issued traffic citations and will appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date.
WESTFIELD - Anthony J. Crouch, 30, of Nettle Hill Rd., Sherman was arrested on a warrant on Saturday, Oct. 13.
According to the police office, an officer on patrol on English St., in the Village of Westfield allegedly observed a suspicious vehicle parked near the railroad tracks around 6 p.m. Upon further investigation, the vehicle was allegedly found to be occupied by Crouch, who had an outstanding warrant out of Westfield Village Court for unpaid fines. Crouch was arraigned in Westfield Village Court and allegedly paid the full amount of the fine. Crouch was then released, due to the fine amount being met.
