MAYVILLE - A benefit fund has been set up for Pam Braun Smith at Northwest Savings Bank, S. Erie St., Mayville.
This fund was established by the Hartfield Volunteer Fire Company to cover medical expenses. Smith was recently diagnosed with Tarlov Cysts Disease, dilations of nerve root sheaths containing cerebrospinal fluids. The dilations have become large enough to impinge the nerves. Because this surgery is extremely intricate and complex, Smith must go to Midwest Neurosurgery in Dallas, Texas. This surgery will consist of sacral laminectomy, dorsal sacral reconstruction with restorable plating.
