Ripley library offering story time, murder mystery

October 3, 2012
Westfield Republican / Mayville Sentinel News

RIPLEY - The Ripley Free Library is busy at it again.

October brings with it a murder mystery with a twist. This time, the audience will play an active role interviewing some shady looking characters, one of whom knocked off winery owner Malcolm Melee. Eight characters will be interrogated, but only one has committed the dastardly deed. Tickets for the Saturday, Oct. 13 event at 6 p.m., at the Noble Winery are on sale now for $17 per person. The price includes a refreshment, appetizers and a night of super sleuthing. Get tickets early.

A Time to Share begins Friday, Sept. 28 at 10 a.m., and will be led by Cheryl Hammond. All 2- to 4-year-olds are welcome to join in story time for stories crafts and playtime. Parents are encouraged to join their little people for an hour of fun.

Be sure to check out the library's Friends Room where a wide variety of books at suggested bargain prices can be found. Start Christmas shopping early by purchasing books in gently used condition. Also in the Friends Room, Merlin, a vision enhancer machine, is available for those having difficulty reading small print. Not in the mood for a book? Then kick back with a cup of coffee and good conversation. There's always something to do.
