Faith to Face

October 3, 2012

How nice it is to have such faith

That you see God's face in every cloud

Each one large or small, a different pose

But still hair eyes nose and smile

Each edge a different silhouette

You watch evolve from face to face

Picking out the eyes and lips

A tuft of hair not out of place

And the different noses seen

That seem to fit in where they should

Marking times above a smile

Hidden there in stash and beard

So I watch as He goes by

Awaiting a new silhouette

Or a frontal face to face

Real enough to watch Him talk

At least to see His lips and smile

To know that He's still looking down

And I'll see Him once again

When another storm brings clouds around
