Westfield Republican / Mayville Sentinel News

FREDONIA - The 1891 Fredonia Opera House will screen the family comedy "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked" on Friday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m. Sponsored by the Lily Dale Assembly as part of Family Night at the Movies, admission to the film is free.

Family Night at the Movies often features films based on or that inspire books for children. The series was originally developed as a way for adults to share the excitement of reading and great family entertainment with the children in their lives. The Book Nook has donated several books, which will be given away in a drawing before the film.

It's a tidal wave of toe-tapping music and un-fur-gettable fun for the whole family as Alvin and the Chipmunks return in their greatest adventure yet. While on vacation aboard a luxury cruise liner, Alvin, Simon, Theodore and the Chipettes can't help rocking the boat with their unique brand of 'munk mischief. But things get really squeaky when the gang winds up stranded on a remote island and discover their new tropical playground is not as deserted as it seems.
