BROCTON - Friends of Ahira Hall Memorial Library (AHML) announces plans for their fall book sale to begin on Saturday, Sept. 22.
Opening day of the sale will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The book sale will then continue during regular scheduled library hours through Friday, Oct. 5. During sale hours on Sept. 22, there will be a bake sale and refreshments available at minimal cost.
The library welcomes donations of quality books, DVDs or VHS taped to be dropped off at the library, during open hours, until Wednesday, Sept. 20. No textbooks, dictionaries, condensed books, encyclopedias or damaged books. If pick-up of a donation is needed, call the library. Library hours are Monday and Wednesday from 1 to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The library phone number is 792-9418 and is located at 37 W. Main St. in Brocton.
This year, Friends is designating monies from this fundraiser to be used for basic restoration and beautification of the library and grounds. If interested in becoming a member of Friends of AHML, call the library or sign up during the book sale. Friends meetings are at 6:30 p.m., first Monday of each month and are held in the main reading room of the library. Friends are neighbors and community members dedicated to furthering library services to all residents of the local area.
