WESTFIELD - Matthew W. Odell, 22, of Old Mill Rd., Brocton was charged with inadequate headlamps, uninspected motor vehicle, unlawful possession of marijuana on Saturday, Sept. 15.
According to the police office, an officer stopped a vehicle allegedly operated by Odell on East Main St., in the Village of Westfield, for an alleged traffic infraction at around 2:30 a.m. During the traffic stop it was allegedly found that Odell's vehicle was not inspected and that he allegedly possessed a small quantity of marijuana. Odell was issued tickets and will appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date.
WESTFIELD - Nathan R. St. Don, 35, of Dean Road, Stockton, was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on charges of Felony driving while intoxicated, DWI with a child less than 16 years of age in the vehicle, Felony aggravated unlicensed operation, four counts of endangering the welfare of a child and speed in zone on Sunday, Sept. 16.
According to the police office, officers stopped a vehicle on E. Main St., for an alleged speeding violation at around 6 p.m. Upon further investigation, the operator of the vehicle, St. Don, was allegedly found to be intoxicated. It was also allegedly found St. Don had four children in the vehicle who were under the age of 16 at the time of the stop. A check of St. Don's driving history showed his driving privileges in New York State had been revoked for a prior DWI charge. It was also allegedly found St. Don had a prior conviction for DWI within the past 10 years. St. Don was taken into custody and allegedly refused a chemical test. St. Don was arraigned in Westfield Village Court and remanded to jail on $15,000 cash bail and $20,000 property.
