MAYVILLE - John A. Bish, 46, of Mount Vernon Place, Jamestown, was arrested on charges of promoting prison contraband on Tuesday, Sept. 18.
According to the sheriff's office, during a routine search at the Chautauqua County Jail at around 8:15 a.m., inmate Bish was discovered to be in possession of a large amount of pills, including Gabapentin, and an amount of tobacco. Bish was arrested and will appear in Chautauqua Town Court on a later date.
