CHAUTAUQUA - Marla M. Mitchell, 37, or Roberts Ave., Chautauqua Institution was taken into custody on a bench warrant out of Arcade Village Court on Friday, Sept. 7.
According to the sheriff's office, the Chautauqua Institution Police Department took Mitchell into custody around 3 p.m. Mitchell was taken into custody, transported by Chautauqua Institution Police and handed over to Arcade Police to answer the warrant.
RIPLEY - Matthew J. Houle, 21, of Ripley was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle, having switched plates, altering the registration sticker, uninspected motor vehicle, using a forged/fictious inspection sticker, unlicensed operation and using studded tires between May 1 and Oct. 15 on Friday, Sept. 7.
According to the sheriff's office, Houle was stopped for having an expired registration around 8 p.m. It was subsequently discovered the plates on Houle's vehicle allegedly belonged on another vehicle, he allegedly changed the numbers on his registration sticker with a black marker and he allegedly took the inspection sticker from another vehicle. Houle was issued traffic tickets and will appear in Ripley Town Court on a later date.
NORTH HARMONY - Melissa A. Johnson, 39, of Ashville was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief on Monday, Sept. 10.
According to the sheriff's department, deputies charged Johnson around 1:30 a.m., following an investigation. It is alleged Johnson slashed two tires on another person's vehicle at a location in Ashville during the late evening hours of Sunday, Sept. 9. Johnson was served an appearance ticket and will answer the charges in North Harmony Town Court on a later date.
