Sit inside on harvest eve
Trying to turn my life around
From sitting in the park all day
To working on the juice all night
You can tell it's harvest time
As you see the trucks all day
Flatbeds carrying a load of totes
Head for the factory with a load of grapes
There the tow motorer takes each box
From trailer to the dumping bins
To pour out the contents from within
As they auger through the bottom pipe
Through the stemmer to heave them out
As all the rest get pumped inside
To fill a stainless tank inside
What seems to be the eyes of grapes and skins
As each set of tank gets filled
To be tested and treated these eye-full tanks
There to massive mean gorillas
Waiting to squeeze their lifeblood out
Then it's loaded and comes to me
Where I add my paper touch
To the purple wonder in my tanks
To vacuum out the juice to be sent to storage tanks
