CHAUTAUQUA - Area residents can take the first step in uniting in a movement to end Alzheimer's disease by picking up a Walk to End Alzheimer's brochure, which includes a registration and contribution form for the upcoming Chautauqua Walk to End Alzheimer's being held on Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Chautauqua Institution beginning at 10 a.m. with registration opening at 9 a.m. The Western New York Walks are presented by Conestoga-Rovers & Associated, ElderWood Senior Care, Praxair, Tim Horton's and West Herr.
The 2012 Walk to End Alzheimer's brochures are available at the following Chautauqua County businesses:
Fredonia Place, 50 Howard St., Fredonia;
WCA Home, 134 Temple St., Fredonia;
M&T Bank, 3955 Vineyard Drive no. 1;
Absolute Care of Dunkirk Park, 447 Lake Shore Drive West;
Brooks Memorial Hospital, 529 Central Ave.;

Participants can also register online - as teams or as individuals - by visiting www.alz.org/walk. Individuals who raise $50 or more for one of the five Western New York walks will be entered into a drawing to win an iPad 2.
