MAYVILLE - The Girl Scout Volunteer Alumni will hold a luncheon to observe 100 years of scouting at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 15, at Webb's Captain's Table in Mayville.
All adult women and men who have been involved in Girl Scouts, whether as a scout, a leader or in any other capacity, are invited to join the alumni for this special day. All who are planning to attend are asked to bring pictures of previous activities in which the alumni have been involved during its 27 years "keeping in touch with Girl Scouting friends."
Ro Woodard, a Girl Scout from Falconer and later a counselor at Camp Timbercrest, will describe her visit to Juliette Lowe's home in Savannah for the March Girl Scout birthday celebration.
All those involved in Girl Scouting, past or present, are invited to attend a 100th anniversary luncheon of Girl Scouts on Sept. 15 at Webb’s Captain’s Table in Mayville at 11:30 a.m.
Although soup and sandwich will be available for $10, anyone may order from the menu. Reservations must be made by Tuesday, Sept. 5, by contacting Carol Johnson at 484-0950 or Deanne Manzella at 269-4742.
