Preschool and preschool day care center
Registration is continuing for the YWCA preschool and preschool day care center fall semester. Preschool classes begin the week of Monday, Sept. 17. Classes for children turning 2 years old by Dec. 1 will be held on Mondays and Fridays from 9:30 to 11 a.m., and classes for children turning 3 and 4 will be held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The day care center offers full day and wrap around care for children 33 months through school age. The paranormal tour at the YWCA, hosted by the Village Haunts of Fredonia has been cancelled. Individuals needing more details are invited to contact the YWCA at 326-2011 for information.
Class instructors needed
The fall semester of classes will begin soon at the YWCA and instructors are needed in several areas.
"We have had calls regarding the tumbling classes, and we'd like to resume a Zumba class," Administrative Assistant Michelle Sunday-Warner said. "We're looking for someone to teach beginning tumbling for students from 3 years old through age 8. The hours and days are flexible. Plus we are looking for a certified Zumba instructor. Again the hours and days can be flexible."
Other classes will be offered during the fall and winter months, depending on instructor availability and interest levels. Individuals interested in teaching a class, those with suggestions on classes or those who would like to be on a call list for classes are encouraged to call the YWCA at 326-2011 for more details.

Board of Directors meeting
The August meeting of the Board of Directors of the YWCA Westfield will be held Tuesday, Aug. 21 at the Y building. Membership on the board is open to area women, 18 and older, interested in the work of the YWCA.
