Westfield Stray Cat Rescue - Shasta

Say hello to Shasta, a big beautiful tiger cat only 2 years old and looking for her forever home. She is shy around other cats, but does fine with people. Anyone who can open their heart and home to Shasta should give WSCR a call at 326-2404 to make an appointment, or feel free to stop by its second hand store, The Thrifty Kitty, at 59 East Main Street in Westfield and ask to meet her. There are also many other cats and kittens looking for forever homes, so stop by or give a call. WSCR is also looking for volunteers at the rescue.

Westfield Stray Cat Rescue — Shasta

Poor Abram, a 7-year-old large Hound mix, is mourning the loss of his caregiver who is moving and could not take him. He is so sad, he is breaking the hearts of the volunteers as well. His caregiver affectionately called him Elvis as he curls his lips in excitement and smiles at you. He loves attention, is housetrained, hikes without a leash, sits, stays, responds to no begging and is able to resist a treat in front of his face if told no and then he will eat it when you say okay. Abram had ACL surgery in March and will be fully rehabilitated by the end of August. Anyone interested in meeting or adopting Abram should let NCCR know. He needs a loving family to help mend his broken heart. Call 326-PAWS or send an email to View all the dogs available for adoption at
