We have only a little over two weeks of August until September arrives, and local school youth will return to school after Labor Day. Midget football has already been practicing for its games and high school football practices began this week. Those who enjoy the game will soon be busy attending their games. I don't care much for football, but we usually go if we have grandchildren playing.
Sherman Day was a big success and it appeared everyone had a great time. Since we were away visiting relatives in North Carolina, we missed the event for the first time. If I am able to get more information and pictures of that affair, it will be in next week's paper. Also information on the Sherman Alumni Banquet held last Friday evening.
