WESTFIELD - The Par Tee Girls Tuesday Night League sponsored a Rally for the Cure golf tournament, on Saturday, July 21, at Pinehurst Golf Course.
A total of 42 golfers participated in the event, which raised $2,074 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research, for the Western New York area.
Major prize winners included Colleen Paradis and Jim Gennock, who each shot a closest-to-the-pin on a par-3 hole. Each were awarded a hybrid club provided by the Rally for a Cure Program. Low scores were ladies Judi Golnitz and Bert Vilardo, men Todd Swanson and Sam Arcadipane, and couples Dan Lloyd-Priest and Deb Lloyd-Priest.
Other winners included: Jill Muck, longest drive, hole no. 1; Kim Texter, closest to the gnome, hole no. 2; Swanson, closest to the black and white stake; Shawn Gnadzinski, longest putt, hole no. 5; Tim Texter, longest drive, hole no. 6; June Beers, longest putt, hole no. 8; closest to the black and white stakes; Pat Deering, Wet and Wild Award.
