Ruth A. Casler

MAYVILLE - Ruth A. Casler, 67, of 40 Evans Street, Mayville, died Sunday (Aug. 5, 2012) in St. Vincent's Hospital in Erie, Pa.

She was born Dec. 25, 1944 in Jamestown, N.Y., the daughter of the late Charles and Zelma Greene Morey.

Ruth had been a typist for Chautauqua Abstract in Mayville. She was a member of the Mayville United Methodist Church.

Ruth loved being with her family, she enjoyed cross-stitching, playing cards and bingo.

She is survived by two daughters, Christine (Rich) Cooper of Mayville and Kimberly Casler of North East, Pa.; four grandchildren, Alexandria Earls, Troy Cooper, Cassidy Earls and Hayley Cooper; two brothers, Leon Morey of Eatonville, Wash., and James Morey of Marblehead, Ohio.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 9 in the Freay Funeral Home, Mayville. Rev. Mark Parsons of the Mayville United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Chautauqua Cemetery.

The family received friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 8 in the funeral home.
