Watershed management video to be televised

August 8, 2012
Westfield Republican / Mayville Sentinel News

To ensure continued sustainability and health of Chautauqua Lake, the Chautauqua County Department of Planning and Economic Development in partnership the Chautauqua Lake Management Commission, the Chautauqua Lake Association and Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy developed a watershed management plan to define realistic and achievable solutions for water quality restoration and protection.

In conjunction with this planning effort, the "Chautauqua Watershed Planning for a Healthy Future" video was produced to raise local awareness about watershed management issues and promote actions watershed residents and landowners can take to sustain and improve water quality.

The program will air on Access Channel 5 at 3 and 9 p.m. daily beginning on Saturday, Aug. 4 with the last showing on Friday, Aug. 10.

Access Channel 5 is available to cable viewers in Chautauqua, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Sherman, Ripley and Westfield.
