August 1, 2012
Westfield Republican / Mayville Sentinel News

MAYVILLE - Since he was in the first grade, Benjamin Lawson wanted to be an Eagle Scout.

It took time with scout troops in Georgia and Mayville, but Lawson has reached his goal.

Lawson began his Boy Scout career in Troop 641 in Woodstock, Ga., before moving to Mayville in August 2011 and finishing his Eagle Scout requirements with Troop 126 in Mayville. In March, he finished his Eagle Scout project and, in June, was honored at a special Eagle Scout ceremony in Lakeside Park in Mayville.
