Temporary closure of Ripley library
The Ripley Free Library will be closed Wednesday, Aug. 1 through Friday, Aug. 3 in preparation for its annual book sale. The book sale will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4.

Parkinson's support group at WMH
Westfield Memorial Hospital's Parkinson's Disease Support Group Meeting is held the first Thursday of every month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Mayville Senior Citizens
The Mayville Senior Citizens Club meet on the first and third Thursdays of the month at the Mayville VFW at noon. All area seniors 55 or older are welcome. Bring a dish to pass and personal table service.

Hunter safety class
The Westfield Fish and Game Club on Ogden Road is conducting a gun safety class. It starts on Monday, Aug. 6 from 7 to 10 p.m., and resumes Saturday, Aug. 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students must attend both days and be at least 12 years old. For more information, call 326-3218.
