Charles Victor Warner, Sr., 72, of 50 Howard St., Fredonia, N.Y., passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012 at VA Medical Center Erie, Pa.
He was born on March 6, 1940 in Ripley, N.Y., the son of the late Albert and Pearl (Lewis) Warner Sr.
Charles was a 20-year veteran of the Air Force, having served in Vietnam and throughout Europe.
Charles is survived by his children, Charles Warner, Jr., of New Mexico, Carolyn Barrs of Pickens, S.C., Craig Warner of Tennessee; 10 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; siblings, Albert Warner, Jr., Phyllis Newman, Roy Warner, Clifford Warner and Sharon Cobb.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cecilia Carolyn Warner, March 26, 2005; and siblings Milo, Gordon and Harold Warner and Bessie Jamison.
The funeral service was held Saturday July 21 at 5 p.m., at the Spitzer Funeral Home, Sherman, N.Y., with Rev. Roger Westley, officiating. Friends were received for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial was in Sherman Cemetery.
