JAMESTOWN - Students named to the dean's list for the spring 2012 semester at the Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses of Jamestown Community College earned at least a 3.50 average, equal to a B plus or better, in 12 or more semester hours of study.

JAMESTOWN - Marilyn Zagora, vice president and dean of academic affairs, and Eileen Goodling, vice president and dean of student development, have announced the names of students who were awarded degrees or certificates from the Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses in May 2012.

A total of 572 students earned degrees and certificates. Seven students earned two degrees, and seven students earned a degree and a certificate. Fourteen students graduated with highest honors, representing a 4.0 grade point average.

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - Chelsey Bowen, a student from Ripley, has been named to the spring 2012 dean's list at St. Bonaventure University. Bowen is majoring in accounting.

GROVE CITY, Pa. - Bradley Jopek, a junior Music Education major at Grove City College, has been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester. Bradley is a 2010 graduate of Westfield Central School and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Jopek (Nancy) from Westfield.

Students eligible for the Dean's List have a GPA of 3.40 to 3.59; for the Dean's List with Distinction a GPA of 3.60 to 3.84 and for the Dean's List with High Distinction a GPA of 3.85 to 4.0.

BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The College at Brockport, State University of New York, recently honored students who excelled academically by naming them to the President's List for the spring 2012 semester.

Tyler Bailey of Clymer was named to the President's List. To achieve the honor of being on the President's List, a student must earn a GPA of 4.0.

BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The College at Brockport, State University of New York, recently honored students who excelled academically by naming them to the Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester.

Zachary Nykula of Brocton was named to the Dean's List with Honors.

Kelsey Ossman of Westfield was named to the Dean's List.

Leah Paulus of Dewittville was named to the Dean's List with Honors.

Students who earn a GPA of 3.703.99 are named to the Dean's List with Honors, while students who achieve a 3.403.69 are named to the Dean's List.

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - The State University of New York at New Paltz recently conferred over 1,000 undergraduate degrees. Raisa Aguilar, a resident of Westfield, was among the university's graduates. Aguilar received a BA in Sociology.

BUFFALO - Amanda Jensen, of Ashville, has been named to the spring 2012 dean's list at Buffalo State. Jensen is a fashion and textile technology major. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours.

ALFRED, N.Y. - Over 800 two- and four-year degree candidates received diplomas from Alfred State this spring. Associate and baccalaureate degrees were awarded in fields of agriculture, health, business, vocational, and engineering technology, as well as the arts and sciences.

Michael Pezzulo, a resident of Mayville, received a degree in digital media and animation.

Virginia Schmitz, a resident of Sherman, received a degree in agriculture Technology.

ERIE, Pa. - Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, named the following students to the Dean's List for the 2012 spring semester:

Emily Hamilton, of Westfield. Hamilton, a freshman, is studying division of undergraduate studies;

Corey Hudson, of Ripley. Hudson, a sophomore, is studying business;

James Bimber, of Ashville. Bimber, a senior, is studying electrical and computer engineering technology; and

Emily Harrington, of Mayville. Harrington, a senior, is studying biology.

Students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average to be added to the Dean's List.

AURORA, N.Y. - Sandra Manzella, class of 2015, of Westfield, and Hallie Hanson, class of 2015, of Ashville, were named to the Wells College Dean's List for the Spring 2012 semester. The Dean's List consists of students who earn at least a 3.5 grade point average for at least 12 hours of coursework in a given semester. Sandra graduated from Westfield Central School, and Hallie graduated from Panama Central School.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - James Lesniowski, of Ashville, has earned academic honors at Purdue University for the spring 2012 semester. To earn honors, students must have had at least a 3.5 semester or cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Roberts Wesleyan College is pleased to announce Gretchen Golibersuch and Mary Kay Rambuski were named to the Dean's List for outstanding academic performance for the spring 2012 semester.

Golibersuch, of Westfield, received highest honors. Rambuski, of Mayville, received high honors.

Honors, grade point averages range from 3.5 to 3.69; Higher Honors, grade point averages range from 3.7 to 3.89; and Highest Honors, grade point averages range from 3.9 to 4.0

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The following area residents were named to the Dean's List at SUNY Cortland for the Spring 2012 semester:

Katlyn Mason, a senior fitness development major from Westfield;

Alyssa Ressler, a senior physical education major from Westfield;

Miranda King, a junior communication studies major from Ashville; and

Lindsey Lictus, a senior biology major from Clymer.

Honorees must earn a grade point average of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale, while completing 12 or more credit hours of classes during the semester.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Matthew Robbins of Brocton graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in biotechnology from RIT's College of Science in the spring 2012 quarter.
