WESTFIELD - Justin Baez, 21, of West Pear Street in Westfield was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on charges of fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on Tuesday, July 10.

According to the police office, police responded to Tops Markets on East Main Street in the Village of Westfield for the larceny from a vehicle around 7:45 p.m. Upon arrival, officers were advised by the complainant that he had multiple items stolen from his vehicle which was parked in the store parking lot. Officers reviewed the video footage from the store and were able to located Baez by canvassing the area. Baez allegedly stole the items from the vehicle totaling over $1,000. He was arrested, arraigned in Westfield Village Court and was remanded to jail on no bail.
