ASHVILLE - Michael Terhart, 39, of Euclid, Ohio was arrested for third-degree assault and criminally obstructing breathing on Monday, July 16.

According to the police office, a trooper received a complaint of a domestic incident which occurred at a residence in Ashville on Friday, July 6. An investigation revealed the victim was allegedly choked and thrown to the ground by the suspect, Terhart. Following the domestic incident, Terhart transported the victim to her residence in Ohio. The victim sought medical attention at an area hospital, and she was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Terhart was arrested and processed at State Police Jamestown. Terhart was then arraigned and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.

ASHVILLE - Gregg Morrison, 34, of Ashville was arrested on Wednesday, July 11 for third-degree assault.

According to the police officer, a state trooper responded to a past-tense assault, which was alleged to have occurred on May 6, where it was reported the victim allegedly suffered shoulder injuries as a result of being tackled onto a cement floor by Morrison. An investigation supported the victim's claims, and Morrison was subsequently arrested, processed at State Police Jamestown, arraigned in the North Harmony Town Court and released to reappear in North Harmony Town Court on a later date.

SHERMAN - Andrew Usyk, 20, of Collins and Chelsea Brennan, 19, of Perrysburg were arrested and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on charges of felony fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana on Sunday, July 8.

According to the police office, a state trooper stopped a vehicle on Waits Corners Road in Sherman for an alleged unsafe tire. While speaking to the occupants, Usyk and Brennan, the trooper allegedly smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. The trooper searched the vehicle and allegedly located the following items: five glass pipes containing marijuana residue; a bag containing one gram of marijuana; tin foil containing a small amount of hashish; 2.5 grams of raw opium; two doses of LSD; and a digital scale. Usyk and Brennan were arrested, and then transported to State Police Jamestown where they were processed, arraigned in Sherman Town Court, and remanded to jail.

SHERMAN - Benjamin Reed, 27, of Westfield, Shannon Burgun, 26, of Westfield and Jared Farnham, 31, of South Dayton were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana on Sunday, July 8.

According to the police office, a state trooper arrested the three individuals subsequent to a road check on Waits Corners Road in Sherman. All suspects were issued appearance tickets and scheduled to appear in Sherman Town Court later in the month.

SHERMAN - Nigel Mustapha, 23, and Elizabeth Raynor, 27, both of Colorado Springs, Colo., were arrested and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on charges of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana on Friday, July 6.

According to the police office, a state trooper stopped a vehicle going through a road check on Waits Corners Road in Sherman for an alleged expired inspection. While speaking to the occupants, the trooper allegedly smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. The trooper searched the vehicle and allegedly located one gram of marijuana, an envelope containing 2.5 grams of a hallucinogenic substance and a dose of amphetamine in Raynor's purse. When advising Mustapha and Raynor they were going to be arrested, Raynor allegedly removed a bag from her bra and threw it into the woods. The bag was later located and allegedly found to contain five grams of marijuana. Both suspects were arrested, and Raynor was additionally charged with possessing a controlled substance in a non-original container and tampering with evidence. Mustapha and Raynor were then transported to State Police Jamestown where they were processed for their respective charges, arraigned in Sherman Town Court and remanded to jail.

SHERMAN - Kaleb Mason, 24, of Collins was arrested for driving while ability impaired by drugs on Friday, July 6.

According to the police office, a state trooper interviewed Mason, who drove through a road check on Waits Corners Road in Sherman. The trooper allegedly smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. Mason and the other vehicle occupant allegedly admitted to smoking marijuana 20 minutes prior. Mason showed obvious signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested, transported to State Police Jamestown and evaluated by a Chautauqua County Drug Recognition Expert. Mason was then processed, issued tickets returnable to Sherman Town Court and released to a sober individual.

SHERMAN - Patrick Sheridan, 20, of West Seneca was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana on Friday, July 6.

According to the police office, a state trooper interviewed Sheridan, who drove through a road check on Waits Corners Road in Sherman. While speaking to Sheridan, the trooper allegedly smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. The trooper searched the vehicle and allegedly located a grinder containing one gram of marijuana. Sheridan was placed under arrest, issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Sherman Town Court on a later date.

SHERMAN - Christopher Geer, 32, of Waterford, Pa., was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana on Friday, July 6.

According to the police office, a state trooper interviewed Geer, who drove through a road check on Waits Corners Road in Sherman. While speaking to Geer, the trooper allegedly smelled marijuana emanating from inside his vehicle. Five grams of marijuana was allegedly located on Geer's person, and he was subsequently placed under arrest. Geer was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Sherman Town Court on a later date.

SHERMAN - Yamaris Camacho, 21, of Jamestown was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana on Friday, July 6.

According to the police office, a state trooper interviewed Camacho, who drove through a road check on Wait Corners Road in Sherman. While speaking to Camacho, the trooper allegedly smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. The trooper searched the vehicle and allegedly located a bag containing three grams of marijuana. Camacho was place under arrest, issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Sherman Town Court on a later date.

SHERMAN - Dennis Mitchell, 23, of Gowanda was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana on Friday, July 6.

According to the police office, a state trooper stopped a vehicle for an alleged bald tire during a road check at Waits Corners Road in Sherman. While speaking to the occupants, the trooper allegedly smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. After searching the occupants and vehicle, passenger Mitchell was allegedly found to be in possession of a bag containing two grams of marijuana. Mitchell was arrested, issued an appearance ticket for Sherman Town Court and released.
