CCSD looking for information on trespass, beating incident

PORTLAND - An assault occurred in an area of Lakeside Boulevard Extension and Van Buren Point in the Town of Portland on Thursday, July 12 at 12 a.m.

On Wednesday, July 11 at about 11:45 p.m., a resident of Lakeside Blvd. Ext. heard a noise from his garage and observed five to six individuals running from the area of his garage. The five to six individuals got into two different vehicles and drove away. The two vehicles were described only as a silver van and a silver pick-up truck. The resident victim pursued them. The two fleeing vehicles stopped and confronted the home owner, at which time they punched and kicked the victim leaving him unconscious and injured.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office is looking for anyone with information on this incident to call 753-4915 or 800-78-CRIME (800-782-7463). Anyone who gives information that leads to the arrest and conviction may be eligible for up to $1,000 reward.
