WESTFIELD - The Benjamin Prescott Chapter of the Daughters on the American Revolution met on Thursday, June 7 at the McClurg Museum in Westfield.
Regent Antoniette Sherman and Chaplain Ann Wood conducted the opening ritual and Roxanne Wood read the President General's message.
Members were asked to encourage people to display the flag on Flag Day, Thursday, June 14.
The Chapter will donate U.S. flags to the Little Seeds Preschool in Bemus Point. Ann and Roxanne will present the flags on behalf on the chapter.
Everyone was asked to ring a bell at noon on Monday, June 18 to commemorate the start of the War of 1812.
The district fall meeting was discussed. Part of the agenda will include tours of the McClurg Museum which will be conducted by the museum staff.
The next meeting will be a picnic lunch at the home of Mercy Warren at noon on Thursday, July 12. Bring a dish to pass.
