WACS junior sets two school records

WESTFIELD - Westfield Academy and Central School junior Miranda Warner, daughter of Michelle Warner and Levi Davis, broke two school track and field records this year.

One record was in the pentathlon with a score of 2,479 points on May 19 and the other record was in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.1 seconds on May 19.

Previous record holders were Amy Bertrando in the pentathlon with 2,394 points set in 2005 and Jen Parker in the hurdles with a time of 17.81 seconds set in 1994.

Miranda also achieved a third place finish in the high jump at the Super 8 meet where the top eight in each event from Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Erie Counties compete. She completed this year's track season with a third place finish in the high jump at Sectionals.
