WESTFIELD - Jessica M. Rumsey, 34, of Union Street in Westfield was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree assault and second-degree menacing on Saturday, June 9.
According to the police office, officers responded to Union Street in the Village of Westfield for a person with a weapon around 8:45 p.m. Upon arrival, officers allegedly observed Rumsey bleeding heavily from her arm from allegedly punching through a window. Upon further investigation, it was allegedly found Rumsey stabbed a neighbor with a pair of scissors, punched the neighbor in the face and punched through the front door window. A warrant was issued for Rumsey and served on Monday, June 11. Rumsey was charged and arraigned in Westfield Village Court where bail was set at $1,000 cash and $2,000 property. Rumsey was additionally charged on June 9 with disorderly conduct for allegedly using profane language at Westfield Memorial Hospital in the presence of patients and hospital staff. Rumesy was issued an appearance ticket for that charge and will appear in court on a later date.
WESTFIELD - Antonio Figueroa, 38, of East Route 20 in Westfield was charged with second-degree harassment on Sunday, June 10.
According to the police office, it responded to Westfield Memorial Hospital for a disorderly subject. Upon arrival, officers allegedly observed Figueroa in a verbal altercation with another subject in the parking lot of the hospital. Officers placed Figueroa in custody for allegedly threatening to kill the subject and blow up the subject's vehicle. Officers arraigned Figueroa in Westfield Village Court and bail was set at $500 cash and $1,000 property.
