Founded in 2008, The North Shore Arts Alliance is a not-for-profit co-operative marketing, promotional and membership organization working on behalf of artists in Chautauqua County. Its goal is to foster an environment where art strengthens the county's image, economic vitality and quality of life.

The signature event of the NSAA is the twice-yearly Chautauqua Lake Erie Art Trail, a free open-studio tour in northern Chautauqua County. The art trail incorporates 25 professional artists whose work represents a variety of media - painting, photography, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, fiber arts, wood and mixed media. Beyond the art trail, it has helped create and promote a variety of arts-related events by working with local art galleries, arts organizations and festivals.

Wine for the opening has been donated by Johnson Estate Winery. Visit the North Shore Arts Alliance website at northshoreartsalliance.com for more information on upcoming exhibitions and membership. The Patterson Library's art gallery program is funded in part by the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Re-grant Program administered by the Cattaraugus County Arts Council.
