WESTFIELD - Erin Weingart, 34, of Cottage Street in Westfield was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a Class A Misdemeanor on Sunday, May 20.

According to the police office, it responded to Watson Avenue for a past tense fight around 7 p.m. Upon further investigation, it was determined Weingart allegedly got into a physical altercation there. This altercation allegedly involved Weingart taking a swing at the homeowner. In the process, Weingart allegedly knocked over a 1-year-old child and was fighting in the presence of an 8-year-old child. Weingart was charged, issued appearance tickets and will appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date.

WESTFIELD - Jessica M. Rumsey, 34, of Union Street in Westfield was charged with driving while intoxicated, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, failure to keep right and failure to maintain lane on Tuesday, May 29.

According to the police office, officers allegedly observed a northbound vehicle on North Portage Street in the Village of Westfield cross the white fog line and center line of the roadway multiple times around midnight. Officers performed a traffic stop on the vehicle and upon further investigation, the operator, Rumsey, was allegedly found to be intoxicated. A check of her New York State driver's license showed her privileges to drive in New York State had been suspended. Rumsey was taken into custody and alter released with uniform traffic tickets. She will appear in Westfield Village Court on later date to answer the charges.

WESTFIELD - William D. Sloppy, 27, of Sterns Avenue in Jamestown was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on charges of driving while intoxicated, fail to keep right, fail to maintain lane, unlicensed driver and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation on Tuesday, May 29.

According to the police office, officers allegedly observed a southbound vehicle on South Portage Street in the Village of Westfield crossing the center line of the roadway as well as the white fog line multiple times around 3 a.m. Officers performed a traffic stop on the vehicle and, upon further investigation, the operator of the vehicle, Sloppy, was allegedly found to be intoxicated. A check of Sloppy's New York State driver's license showed he had his driving privileges in New York State suspended. Sloppy was taken into custody and later arraigned in Westfield Village Court where bail was set at $500 cash or $2,500 property bond. Sloppy was transported to jail and will appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date.

WESTFIELD - William L. Vanvolkenburg, 64, of East Main Street in Westfield was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs on Tuesday, May 29.

According to the police office, officers allegedly observed a male subject passed out behind the steering wheel of his truck in a local business parking lot around 7:15 p.m. The vehicle was allegedly still in drive with the vehicle running and up against a curb, which was stopping the vehicle from rolling onto East Main Street and possibly causing an accident. Upon further investigation, the driver, Vanvolkenburg, was allegedly found to be impaired by drugs. Vanvolkenburg was arrested and will appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date.
