WESTFIELD - This year's annual Ox Roast will take place on July 8 from noon to 7 p.m., at Ottaway Park on Route 5 in Westfield across from the KOA Kampground, rain or shine.
This event has become a traditional gathering place for local class reunions and features ox roast sandwiches, beverages, sugar waffles, curly fries, hot dogs and more. There are games for children and adults, door prizes, picnic areas and grand prizes announced at 7 p.m.
Pre-sale tickets, good for a sandwich, beverage and entry for door prizes, may be purchased from members of both the Westfield Exempt Volunteer Firemen's Association and the Fire Department of Westfield. Individual tickets will be on sale the day of the event.
