Popcorn and a movie at the Patterson

A free movie featuring recent Oscar winners and popcorn every Thursday in May starting at 7 p.m., at Patterson Library. This week's film is "Midnight in Paris." Call 326-2154 for more information.

Baby and Me story time

Baby and Me Story Time with Amy Stephenson meets Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 7 p.m., at Patterson Library. Stories, music and movement for children ages 0 to 36 months. Have fun and meet other parents. Free. Registration requested, call 326-2154.

Bestsellers Club

This month the Patterson Library's Bestsellers Club will be discussing "Sarah's Key" by Tatiana de Rosnay with a potluck dinner at the daylily farm. Call 326-2154 for details. The Best Sellers Club is a reading group for adults that meets monthly to read and discuss what's hot in nonfiction or fiction. Free and open to the public.

Tell Me a Story story time

Teach children to love reading and learning. Join Amy Stephenson at Patterson Library every Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m., for stories, movement, music and crafts for 2 to 5 year olds. Free, but please sign up, call 326-2154.

After school activities at Patterson Library

Now on Wednesdays, all ages crafts, art, games and activities after school at Patterson Library. The Teen Area will be open to all ages Wednesday afternoons. Call Eli at 326-2154 for more information.

Ripley library yard sale

Ripley Free Library will be holding its annual yard sale Friday, June 1 and Saturday, June 2. There will be a wide variety of items for sale at great prices including furniture, glassware, clothes, toys, games, puzzles, Christmas trees and so much more. Proceeds go towards the Summer Reading Program.

Concert and picnic at St. Paul's

St. Paul's Church located at 93 South Erie Street in Mayville will be holding a "Welcome to the Summer" concert and picnic on Sunday, June 3 starting at 4:30 p.m. Join Celtic fiddler Lydia Byard in a program of lively reels, haunting airs and joyful tunes. The concert will be followed by an old-fashioned picnic under the tent.

Monday, June 4

A Musical Night at the Museum

Sherman High School Music Boosters will once again be holding "A Musical Night at the Museum" at the Yorker Museum Gazebo on Park Street in Sherman on Monday, June 4. Admission is free. There will be a picnic dinner for purchase starting at 5 p.m., silent auction with items donated by local merchants and a 50/50 raffle. Bring a lawn chair for the entertainment at 5:30 p.m. In case of rain, the event will be held at the Sherman school cafeteria. The event will raise money for the kids trip to Washington, D.C., where they plan on playing and singing on the steps of the Lincoln Monument.

Spaghetti dinner

St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church of 24 East Chautauqua Street in Mayville will hold a spaghetti dinner on Tuesday, June 5 to benefit the organization 'Help The Helpless,' which supports St. Mary's School for the Handicapped in India. The proceeds of this dinner will directly benefit the children who attend this school. The dinner will be held in the church hall from 4 to 7 p.m., or until sold out. Take-outs will be available and it's all you can eat. The cost for the dinner is $6 for adults, $4 for children, and free for children 2 and under.

Westfield Memorial Hospital's Parkinson's Disease Support Group Meeting is held the first Thursday of every month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The Westfield Senior Citizens meet on the second Thursday of the month at the YWCA Westfield at 6 p.m.

Parkinson's support group at Absolut Care

The Absolut Care of Westfield's Parkinson's Disease Support Group Meeting is held the second Thursday of the month in the Absolut Care Activity Room from 4 to 5 p.m.

Mayville Senior Citizens Club

The Mayville Senior Citizens Club meet on the first and third Thursdays of the month at the Mayville VFW at noon. All area seniors 55 or older are welcome. Bring a dish to pass and personal table service.

Saturday, June 30

Ripley Hose Company fundraiser

The annual Ripley Hose Company and Ladies Auxiliary fundraiser will be held at the Firemen's Field in Ripley on Saturday, June 30 from 2 to 11 p.m. There will be food, games, crafts, a photo competition, live music and dance plus more. Save the date.
