WESTFIELD - Joshua K. Smith, 25, of East Lake Road in Westfield and Dana N. Grout, 22, of Hilborn Avenue in Erie, Pa., were charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marihuana, a Class B Misdemeanor, on Monday, May 14.
According to the police office, a patrolman was walking the beat behind businesses on East Main Street in the Village of Westfield around 9:45 p.m. The officer allegedly observed two subjects smoking marihuana in public behind a local business. This lead to the arrest of Smith and Grout who were issued appearance tickets and will appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date.
WESTFIELD - Velmon J. Boyd, 44, of Bourne Street in Westfield was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on charges of two counts of obstructing governmental administration, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana on Thursday, May 17.
According to the police office, it responded to Bourne Street for an unwanted person at around 11:30 p.m. According to the complainant, the unwanted male identified as Boyd had allegedly barricaded himself in the bedroom and had been smoking crack cocaine all day. The complainant also stated Boyd was allegedly armed with a knife. Officers did make contact with Boyd by allegedly speaking with him through a locked bedroom door as he still barricaded inside the bedroom, and Boyd allegedly continued to ignore officer's commands to unlock the door. Eventually, officers allegedly talked Boyd into unlocking the bedroom door and, as officer opened the door, Boyd was allegedly observed smoking from a crack pipe. Officers allegedly commanded Boyd to drop the lighter and pipe, which he refused, and ran toward the bathroom on the opposite side of the bedroom. Boyd was subdued and taken into custody. Boyd was also allegedly found to be in possession of a bag of crack cocaine, a sale for weighing drugs and a small quantity of marijuana. Boyd was charged, arraigned in Westfield Village Court and remanded to jail on $5,000 cash or $10,000 property bail.
WESTFIELD - Andrew Blynt, 19, was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on four outstanding warrants from Westfield Village Court on Friday, May 19.
According to the police office, police were on patrol on South Portage Street in the Village of Westfield around 4:30 p.m., when an officer allegedly observed Blynt in the front yard of a residence on South Portage Street and was aware Blynt had four outstanding warrants from Westfield Village Court. Blynt was taken in to custody, arraigned in Westfield Village Court and remanded to jail on cash bail.
WESTFIELD - Adam J. Robinson, 22, of Washington Street in Westfield was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on charges of third-degree rape, a Class E Felony, on Friday, May 18.
According to the police office, officers investigated an alleged rape which occurred between April 9 and April 12 involving a young female. After a lengthy investigation by the Westfield police, an arrest warrant was obtained for Robinson. The warrant was served and Robinson was arraigned in Westfield Village Court. He was remanded to jail on $10,000 cash and $20,000 property bail.
