NCCR program aims to help families with dogs and babies

May 23, 2012
Westfield Republican

WESTFIELD - Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue is presenting The Dog and Baby Connection on Thursday, May 24 at 6:30 p.m.

This innovative program helps parents set the groundwork for safe interactions between dog and child. Packed with helpful pictures, educational kid-friendly phrases and informative handouts, this program is a resource all new parents can enjoy and easily implement into their busy lives with babies and dogs.

Guest speaker Kim Sauer is a licensed presenter of the international Dog and Baby Connection program developed by Family Paws Parent Education. Sauer helps address the concerns of parents, decrease the stress associated with living with an active baby or toddler and increase the safety of all family members, both human and canine.

The program will be held at the Canine Learning Center at NCCR, located at 7540 North Gale Street in Westfield. The center offers classes, training and lectures on topics that help owners enjoy better relationships with their dogs.

This event is free to the public. To register, email learningcenter@caninerescue.org or call 326-PAWS.
